Is Turd Blossom Gay? PDF Print E-mail

Turd Blossom and His MasterIs Karl Rove gay?

Watching Keith Olberman last night (Monday Aug 13), and his first segment was on Turd Blossom – aka Karl Rove.  He put up a quote from Rove about the first time he met Bush.  My husband and I were both rather shocked.  It totally sounded like he was really physically attracted to Bush.  I mean really attracted.

Here is the quote: “I can literally remember what he was wearing: an Air National Guard flight jacket, cowboy boots, blue jeans … He was exuding more charisma than any one individual should be allowed to have.”  This quote comes from an interview Karl did for the New Yorker on May 12 2003.  He actually went into detail on the chew tub ring on his back pocket.  Who does that?  Or, should I say, what heterosexual male does that.

I mean, even if you thought the guy was charismatic, would you really spend that much time looking at his butt, unless you thought he was hot.  And there is nothing wrong with that. , but when you add up the fact he is not blessed with faith, the fact he and Bush go on vacation together with no mention of the wives and family and, well, this quote, it sure seems like he might be a closet gay.  It could explain Bush’s nickname for him – Turd Blossom.  Ah yes, it is all so clear now.

So, now I am left wondering if Bush and Karl are lovers.  It is a pretty funny thought.  No doubt there who is dominant in that relationship.

Yasser"Anyway, as it turns out, Rove isn’t the only one who now has a cloud of gay suspicion hanging over him.  Yasser Arafat apparently had HIV.  Yup.  His aids are now saying that obviously, he must have been injected with it.  But, that is so amazingly farfetched.  It is much more likely that he just liked having sex with guys.  Doesn’t make you gay, just means you like having sex with guys.  I like having sex with my husband who is a guy and I am clearly not gay.  But then again, I am a girl.

Pastor Simon - a Closet GayThis brings up my final gay question of the day.  Gary Simons.  Just look at this photo.  He is gay right?  OK – so he runs a fundamentalist church and he is married to a woman named April.  Doesn’t mean he isn’t gay.  Want to know how I know he is gay?  Because he is homophobic.  He pulled out of a funeral he was giving for a fallen serviceman who was gay, once he found out he was gay.    At this point, I think it is fair to say that anyone who is homophobic clearly is struggling with their own desires and preferences.  So, Simon must be gay.

Then again, there were several warning signs of the deceased’s gayness that would have tipped a closeted gay off right away.  Like the gay choir, the consultation his staff had with the deceased’s life partner, those sorts of things.  Simon didn’t catch them until a few days before the funeral and then pulled out.  So, perhaps he isn’t.

But, this does bring up a useful point to consider.  If the overwhelming likelihood that someone engaged in gay-bashing clearly wants some himself, that a good way to eliminate gay-bashing is to just point out that anyone who engages in gay bashing is probably doing it because they themselves are gay. Yes, it is childish, but it is probably true.  And, if we are all really consistent with that sort of childish backlash to their stupidity, then perhaps we can finally move forward onto more important matters.  Like whether or not the next season of Survivor will be any good.

I'm gay and left the closet many years ago. I would laugh and chuckle with my friends about gays. What a hypocrite I was. No more. Wonderful article.
