The Family is responsible for all that is wrong with our governmentWhat is wrong with our Government?

10/07/09

Ok. So, we have US Senators committing violations of the Logan Act and we have all sort of senators trying to convert health care reform into a government giveaway to the health insurance industry to the detriment of both our wallets and our health. Now, I do watch Keith Olbermann. Not for the news, but for his commentary. And lately he has been asking, what is going on. He hasn't figured out that the problem is that ALL the senators in questions are members of a religious cult known as the Family. And their actions are totally consistent with historic policy promoted by the Family. And in case you aren't family with The Family, I suggest you read the book. Basically, all the crappy foreign policy debacles the US has been involved in are the Families fault.

Let's start with Sen. De Mint who bragged that he was going to Honduras to illegally negotiate with a foreign government the US does not currently recognize as legitimate because they came to power in a coup. He apparently wanted to tell the coup leaders to resist the US government. Oh, and to add insult to injury, he used government funds to pay for his trip. Obviously, this is not only a violation of the Logan Act it also possible rises to the level of treason. Missing from the coverage of this problem is the reason why he did this. De Mint is a member of the Family. The Family worships power as an article of faith and they are manifestly opposed to democracy as a concept. So, they tend to really really like dictators. And yes, that includes Hitler.

Anyway, De Mint is a member of the Family and the Family has been cultivating dictators across the globe. In fact, De Mints trip isn't the first time a Family member has used government funds for what he essentially views as a religious mission in direct conflict with the policies of the US government. It has been going on since the family was founded. Lets take a quick look at dictators that the Family has assisted in their take over of their respective governments. And keep in mind, the Family views many of these individuals as their brothers in the Family.

Here are just a few names. The real list is quite longer. Franco, Noriega, Suharto, Pinochet, Papa Doc and Diem of Vietnam. Basically, this cult of power is directly responsible for El Salvador, Somalia, Laos, Lebanon, Korea, Cambodia Vietnam, Indonesia and a host of others including what is happening now in Uganda. They were pro-Hitler during the war and were instrumental in assisting war criminals in avoiding prosecution and for those that did get prosecuted, this was the group that convinced the US government to give these folks back their factories. In short, just about every crappy thing that has happened because of US government intervention is their fault! EVERYTHING!

And lest you think that these folks just have a tangential relationship to the various massacres related to the individuals and countries listed above, you need to be aware of this. Missionaries on Family business in these countries are the ones who compile the lists of names for these dictators of people who need to be killed. These are people supposedly bringing the message of Christ to impoverished people giving names of people who aren't friendly to the government or to Christianity (which is being used as an excuse to usurp power) with the expressed intent of having the dictator kill these people. Hardly a Christian thing to do despite these folks claiming to be Christian. Makes me sick!

Let's move on to the health care debate. The gang of 6 on the finance committee? All Family members. Baucus, Ensign, Nelson, and the others. Are all members of the Family. Want to know why they have produced such a crappy bill that mandates coverage, and gives our tax dollars directly to the insurance companies? Because they are all members of The Family and the heads of these insurance companies are also members of the Family.

That is the simple answer. But the reality is that their support of corporations over individual citizens goes beyond just helping a friend out. Their economic and spiritual philosophy is a cult of power. They truly believe that the problems the average person faces is because they haven't submitted to the will of their leaders. Leaders are corporate leaders chosen by god to run these companies and dictators also chosen by god. God doesn't like democracy.

The entire religious philosophy is the submission of the week to power. If we all submit, everything will be fine. This is so amazingly anti-American it isn't even funny. Yet, our public policy is being held hostage to this cult of power. Oh, and it is a Christian based cult. So, a lot of the modern evangelical movement is bought and paid for by these guys. Campus Crusade for Christ, Prison Ministries, New Life Church, National Prayer Breakfast, etc etc etc. All of it is part of this twisting of the Gospel to benefit the rich and powerful. If you aren't rich and powerful, they don't care about you and if you are suffering it is your own fault for not submitting to the will of the rich and powerful. It is sickening.

We the people of the US are not gong to get a government that is responsive to us until we deal effectively with this cult at the heart of American Power. Yes, we also need to deal with lobbying, but the most dangerous group in America is the Family.
