How I Think

How do I think?

From the American Candidate questionaire – questions and answers about my role models, what I would do with

a million dollars, etc.

27. WHO IS YOUR HERO AND WHY?
Camus: He was a brilliant thinker, and willing to act on his compassion. His

stance on a variety of issues, his writings, especially his "Letter to a German Friend," "Return to Tipasa," and the speech he gave

to the Catholics ("An Unbeliever to the Believers") are very influential in my thinking about responsibility to my fellow humans.

28. IF

YOU COULD GIVE A MILLION DOLLARS TO ANY CHARITY, WHICH CHARITY WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY? The one I work for. The Humanists of Florida Association. Most

other charities are already well established and while they need money, they have enough of a support base that my money won't make any significant

changes. A $1million endowment to my organization would provide base revenue to maintain a minimum level of support to create some stability for the

organization.

29. IF YOU WERE GIVEN A MILLION DOLLARS, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT?
I would happily pay the taxes due on such a windfall. Then,

I would pay off the mortgage on our residence, and purchase a Mercedes station wagon (my dream car). The rest (about 1/2million) would go into a

financial vehicle that would pay out income to my husband and me over time.

30. (FILL IN THE BLANKS)
AS PRESIDENT, my dislike of mediocrity

IS WHY I SHOULD BE FEARED.

31. AS PRESIDENT, my compassion for humanity IS WHY I WILL BE LOVED.
